How to get help

If you need help from our foodbank, just follow the advice below

We know that anyone can find themselves at crisis point for a number of different reasons and we are here to help you during those times when you need that bit of extra support to get through.

To enable us to help you, you will need to get in contact with us or someone from one of our supporting organisations, and let us know the circumstances of your situation. We will then discuss the help that we can give you and identify what support you require, including any special requirements you may have, from this we will create a voucher for you to use in our foodbank.

As well as food we can also supply additional items such as toilet paper, cat and dog food and items for babies, but not infant formula or baby milk.

How to get your food:

If you need food you can visit the foodbank (see Visiting a foodbank), phone us or send us a text on 07724 832043, or get in contact with one of the agencies or people who can help you.

From this a voucher will be created with a unique number that will contain all of the details of your needs plus any special requirements. All you then need to do is to give us the voucher number and we will sort out the food and other items that you need.

If you phone us and we do not answer then leave us a message with your name and telephone number, and we will get back to you as soon as we can. You can also ring the WNC Money Advice team on 01327 322275 during office hours who can give you a voucher number over the phone to use.

If you are unable to get to the foodbank, please Contact us to discuss what can be done.

There are a number of local agencies and people that work with us who can create these vouchers.  These agencies may be able to assist you further by providing long term support to help address some of the issues behind the reasons for your crisis.

If you already are being issued with voucher numbers by a person or by one of our local agencies, then please get in contact with them again in the first instance to request a new voucher number to enable us to sort out your food.

If you already have a voucher or voucher number:

If you have been given a voucher or voucher number then you can come to the foodbank during the times we are open (see Visiting a foodbank), if you cannot get to the foodbank then you can place an order by phoning us (07724 832043) and give us your voucher number. If we do not answer the phone then leave us a message with your name and telephone number, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Important: Please remember to bring your voucher or voucher number with you.

If you have any further questions our FAQ’s page may help, or feel free to Contact us.
